WEBS provided a web
site usability review and search
engine optimization services for Gallus Immunotech, a producer
of chicken antibodies and custom
peptide synthesis (link opens in a new window).
This page describes some of the findings in our web site usability
evaluation.
Most
of the former site was inaccessible for people with older
browsers. The new navigation is much easier to work with and
provides a good overview of what the site has to offer. We
also recommended a site map for visitors that want to find
what they're looking for fast.
Flash intro pages for web sites are often not very userfriendly:
they load slowly and have nothing to do with the information
that the visitor is looking for. After we shared with Gallus
Immunotech that research shows that 75% of visitors click
the "skip intro" button for Flash splash pages they decided
that they'd try to integrate the Flash animation in the homepage.
