As
a business owner, having a website is probably an important part
of your marketing plan. It is vital to set goals in order to get
the maximum result from your online presence. Plan your strategy
and measure the results to see whether you are on the right track.
Many small businesses (and large ones too, by the way!) overlook
the power of analytics. But do not miss out on the opportunity to
tweak your strategies where necessary to achieve and maybe even
surpass your goals! Know your website's statistics.
You
may already keep track of the total number of visitors and the keywords
they used. But do you also know how many repeat visits your site
has and if they are on the rise or declining? Do you know the top
entry pages, the exit pages and how many pages people visit on average?
'If
you do not know where you are going, any road will take you there',
is an old saying. So check out your webhost's website statistics
program, and consider paying for a better statistics program if
you need more in-depth information.
